If you are looking for a getaway without the hassle of long travel, Hotel P. Inc. should definitely be on your list. It's conveniently located in the city of General Santos, Philippines. You can get there without difficulties as public transportation, such as the tricycle, is available anytime and anywhere and without spending too much.
Just like the city where it is situated, Hotel P. Inc. has a chill and laid-back ambiance. It has some spots to take your Instagram photos, and the lobby itself is perfect for those little photo sessions. You'll definitely love the school of Koi fish in their little pond as well. The aesthetic feels like you are on an island with no other season but summer, and you get to feel the vacation vibe even just for a quick break from an exhausting week of work.
Either you stay for a day or overnight, you'll enjoy a swim in their pool while enjoying the foods you can order from their restaurant.
THE EXPERIENCE
It was mid-summer when we decided to look for a place for the weekend to stay for a night and a half to escape the scorching heat. As we scrolled through one of the well-known booking engines online, the prices were sorted from low to high, and Hotel P. Inc. was on the first page. The photos were so good compared to other low-priced hotels. It enticed us without a doubt, so we booked the room.
It was a room good for two people with one queen bed. The price did not include breakfast, but we still enjoyed the swimming pool. For the price of Php 1,000.00, the room was spacious and had complete room amenities such as basic toiletries and a bed that could be compared to those at 3-star hotels.
When we arrived, I noticed the wide land area with a lot of parking spaces—you can even park right outside your room. While the lobby is an open area and has all natural wind with a little help from their ceiling fans, we did not mind waiting for quite some time when we were not able to check in early. We just got ourselves some cold drinks from their in-house cafe.
We hurriedly made our way to our room to cool off. We were quite impressed with the room. It was generally clean, and although the bathroom is smaller, I think it was still worth it for the price we paid. If there is one thing I could say about it, it would be the shower area. The partition was not helpful at all; with it, you can barely move. The shower head should be changed, as it was too small and did not provide proper coverage.
In the late afternoon, we decided to use the pool. Since there were few to no guests at that time, we got the pool for ourselves and got most of it with our "olympic" swim laps. I really appreciated the pool attendant because even if it was just us, he still turned on the water fountain for us to enjoy. They have three spacious bathrooms where you can shower and change, tables and chairs, and pool lounge chairs. They do not have lifeguards on duty, so if you are with kids, always ensure their safety.
We had dinner in their open-air restaurant. The prices were too expensive for us, but they still have cheaper options, but not that many.I suggest that if you are on a budget, you can ask the front desk if you can order food from outside. Food delivery companies can deliver due to the accessible location of the hotel. Please note that this may not be guaranteed, as we have never tried to do so.
We really enjoyed our short stay at the hotel, and we will definitely be back. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. It may not be a hotel with a lot of amenities; in fact, they only have the swimming pool and restaurant, but if you are looking for a place where you can enjoy some alone time, with family or loved ones, or a quick outing, then Hotel P. Inc. is definitely an option.
