Digos City Eco Park and Arboretum

We departed General Santos City for Davao City early. Instead of going straight to Davao City, we decided to stop by Digos City for a quick meal and to visit some well-known spots.

Digos City is the component city of Davao del Sur province in the Southeastern part of the Philippines and was converted to a city on September 8, 2000. It is also known as the "Mango Capital of the Philippines."

It was a two-hour drive from General Santos City by motorcycle.

DIGOS CITY ECO PARK AND ARBORETUM

After our breakfast at McDonald's and quick swimsuit shopping in one of the malls in the city, we started our day tour. The first destination on the itinerary was Digos City Eco Park and Arboretum. It was a short and smooth ride from where we were. The park can be easily located as it is visible on maps and is well paved.

The parking lot is a shared space for cars and motorcycles and can accommodate enough vehicles on a not so busy day. By the parking lot, you will already have a good view of the park. The garden was astonishing and the stunning lake was a perfect touch of the whole park.

Such beautiful scenery will certainly make your celebration extra special. Even something as simple as your daily run will surely keep you motivated. It's definitely the place where you can spend family time, create new memories, and share the past over a picnic.

If I were from Digos City, the park would be my go-to place. There was something about it that seemed so peaceful—probably the trees standing mightily as the shades embrace you, the satisfaction from the perfectly landscaped garden, the greenery that calms you, or the assurance that such a place exists for people seeking tranquility in this deafening world.
